We are hosting the first ever racial equity awards to celebrate the work and good practice of individuals and organisations championing access to nature for marginalised communities across Bristol.
Award Ceremony Details
📅 Date: Friday 7th November 2025
🕘 Time: 6:30pm - 8:30pm
📍 Location: Patagonia Store, Park Street, Bristol
➡️ Winners must attend the ceremony. Finalists are encouraged to attend
Application deadline: 15th October 2025
Selection and Announcement Process
Notification of finalists: 31st October 2025.
Winners announced: Friday 7th November 2025 at the ceremony.
Judging Process
A panel of judges will score each application. The winner in each category will be determined by the highest average score.
These awards align with our mission to promote wellbeing through connecting communities with the outdoors and nature.
🌿 The Trailblazer Award recognises organisations delivering unique and creative work in nature for under-represented communities (in Bristol & surrounding areas), making a difference and creating access for all.
These organisations are leaders in grassroots racial equity, showing a strong commitment both to the people they serve and to their own teams.
A strong nomination should focus on specific achievements and explain the positive, lasting impact they have had on the community.
Examples could be involvement in different programmes /projects, delivering community based work in nature.
Please tell us who they are, what they do and why you believe they should be recognised.
Nominations close on October 15th 2025.
An individual who actively leads efforts to promote wellbeing and engagement with nature, inspiring others to join them
An individual undertaking unwavering community action to encourage or support others' well being in any outdoors in nature setting
A young person who is making waves in their generation, enthusiastically making the world a better place for nature, people and planet
An organisation delivering unique and creative work in nature for under-represented communities, making a difference and creating access for all
An individual or organisation that actively champions community wellbeing through engagement in nature for physical and mental health
